Lawyers Against Hunger Launches 2012 Spring Project

Lawyers Against Hunger will distribute hams and pantry boxes to 500 families on April 3, 2012 in Tulsa and May 2, 2012 in Oklahoma City.

This is a new project for Lawyers Against Hunger as we “celebrate spring”.  “Lawyers Against Hunger is looking for new ways to feed the hungry in our state, more than just once per year.  We hope doing a spring event will someday be as big as our Thanksgiving event” said Hugh M. Robert, co-founder of Lawyers Against Hunger.  Lawyers Against Hunger is working with Iron Gate in Tulsa to distribute hams and pantry boxes on April 3, 2012 obtained by working with the Eastern Oklahoma Food Bank.

In Oklahoma City, on May 2, 2012, Lawyers Against Hunger will distribute hams and turkeys in conjunction with a blood drive being led by Noble McIntyre, also a co-founder.  “Our goal is to feed the hungry and also collect at least 100 units of blood for the American Red Cross.  We thought it would be a good idea to serve two important missions of feeding the hungry and providing blood to the American Red Cross to help save lives” said McIntyre.  In Oklahoma City, Lawyers Against Hunger again partnered with the Regional Food Bank of Oklahoma to obtain the food for distribution.
